Dirk Brockmann
Symbioses and cooperative relationships form the foundation of life. On this evening, the renowned natural scientist Dirk Brockmann creates an impressive panorama of the power of nature: we learn how bacteria influence our nervous system; how molecules negotiate, how they invented photosynthesis and triggered the greatest mass extinction of all time. We hear about cute viruses, animal solar systems and world champions in networking.
The physicist and mathematician Prof. Dr. Dirk Brockmann is the founding director of the Synergy of Systems Center at Dresden University of Technology. He previously taught in the USA and at the Humboldt University of Berlin.
