Climate change, coronavirus, 5G radiation - scientific discourse is currently polarizing society enormously. Although access to knowledge is lower than ever before thanks to the internet, a section of society has lost trust in the (natural) sciences: findings that have already achieved factual status are being doubted or deliberately ignored. This separation of scientific and social rationality is a major problem: Harald Lesch doubts that our society can withstand the increasing mistrust in research in the long term. As a science communicator, his goal is therefore clear: to bring scientific knowledge back into the mainstream of society and rebuild trust in research.

His programs Leschs Kosmos, Frag den Lesch and Faszination Universum have made him one of the best-known science presenters on German television for many years.
