Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to machines that can imitate or independently do many things that humans can do: hear and see, speak, learn and solve problems. Intelligent computer systems are used in all areas of life; they make medical diagnoses, work on assembly lines or provide legal advice. Behind them is always a computer program that - fed with data - is based on precise formulas and algorithms. But what decision-making formulas should an AI system be given, what exactly is a good decision? Are there clear criteria for this? How much uncertainty and how many errors are we prepared to accept in humans and machines? Artificial intelligence forces us to think again about ourselves and what is important to us.
