Martin Korte

When does the brain begin to age—and what does that really mean? Drawing on the latest research, Martin Korte shows that aging is far more than just mental or physical decline. Rather, middle and later adulthood are stages of development with unique strengths and potential. Korte debunks the myth of declining cognitive and memory function and explains how we can positively influence the aging process through our lifestyle and remain mentally sharp. After all, there are no fixed biological age limits.

Prof. Dr. Martin Korte is a professor of cellular neurobiology and director of the Zoological Institute at the Technical University of Braunschweig. His research focuses on the cellular basis of learning and memory, as well as the processes of forgetting. He is known to a wider audience through his books and lectures.
