Michael Braungart - Cradle to Cradle

For the much-vaunted reconciliation of economy and ecology, a production method could be decisive whose materials can be recovered and preserved after the expiry of a defined period of use.
Cradle to cradle is more than recycling or low-pollutant production that enables society to reduce its ecological footprint. Less harmful is just not useful, it's just a little less bad.

The goal is not just to make materials a little more sustainable, but to convert them into nutrients for the biosphere or technosphere. Human activity thus becomes useful for all living things.

Entrepreneur and environmental researcher Prof. Dr. Michael Braungart is a professor at Leuphana University Lüneburg and founder and scientific director of the Hamburg Institute for Environmental Research.
