The forest

Heidelberg Castle without its forest? The place of romance with bare mountains? In the end - Heidelberg as "bald with a castle on it"? There is a film that plays this dystopia as a warning to us all and at the same time as a possibility of life in the future. Forest is many things, especially in Germany the self-evident. Lutz Fähser became widely known with the "Lübeck Concept" for near-natural forest use. Among other things, the concept strives for a high degree of closeness to nature in commercial forests and pursues operational goals with a minimum of intervention. Ultimately, the aim is to achieve the best possible economic, ecological and social "operating result".

Dr. Lutz Fähser studied forestry in Freiburg and Munich. In the municipal forest of Lübeck, he developed an ecologically and socially oriented concept of "near-natural forest utilization". To date, he has accompanied forest-related projects in over 30 countries.
