Peter Sloterdijk

In his latest book Theopoesie - Den Himmel zum Sprechen bringen Peter Sloterdijk looks at the emergence of religions and concepts of God as "literary products". With the result that the enormous eddies of "god residues" on the world's oceans of the soul continue to be powerful and highly topical. For there is much "unfinished business in the air", the potential of which continues to be topical in Islam and in Christianity with thousands of free churches and evangelical religious communities.

In the conversation with Manfred Osten, this potential will be explored: among other things, in the official constitution of European states, but also in the example of the civil-religious function of science up to the technological observation of man through the surveillance and information capitalism of Silicon Valley or in the form of total transparency in China.

Philosopher, cultural scientist and author Peter Sloterdijk, who taught at the Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung in Karlsruhe until 2017, explores these questions in conversation with Manfred Osten(Goethe und das Glück, 2017).
