History

In 2011, the International Science Festival – Geist Heidelberg was founded by Jakob J. Köllhofer, the former long-time director of DAI Heidelberg. For over a decade, it has dedicated itself every year to the pressing questions of our time with a distinguished international lineup. Since 2025, it has been continued by Lena Jöhnk, the new director.
