Richard David Precht

Artificial intelligence (AI) is playing an increasingly important role in many aspects of our lives. From technologies that are already in use today, such as self-driving cars and care robots, to technologies such as autonomous combat drones and automated drug research - the extensive use of AI is accompanied by profound societal changes. What opportunities and dangers does AI open up, and to what extent should and can humans control it? Who is responsible for decisions made by AI? Does AI create more problems than it solves? In the worst case, do humans even lose the meaning of life? Its increasing use raises numerous ethical questions, which are explored by the "pop star" among German philosophers, Richard David Precht.

Dr. Richard David Precht, born in 1964, is a philosopher, publicist and author and one of the most distinguished intellectuals in the German-speaking world. His books on philosophical or socio-political topics are bestsellers and have been translated into more than forty languages.
